Postcard from the Canal Park Marine Museum

The Lake Superior Marine Museum & Maritime Visitor Center doesn’t look much different today than it did in this postcard, probably from the 1970s.

The caption on the back reads:

VISITORS CENTER-MUSEUM
DULUTH, MINNESOTA

Located alongside the famous Aerial Lift Bridge and Ship Canal, overlooking Lake Superior.

Visitors view ships entering and departing the Duluth-Superior Harbor, westerly terminus of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Artifacts, and information of shipping history from “Canoes to Super-Carriers” are displayed.

It looks like a Duluth Public Library larva.
