Poems for Chance

Chance: Poems

Tuesday night I attended the publication party and reading for “Chance: Poems,” an anthology of poems edited by Kathleen Roberts in honor of the art installation currently at the Tweed Museum.

Chance,” by Kathy McTavish, is “a synergetic installation that combines code, image, and sound to create a cross-sensory, polyphonic experience. A landscape of painted walls and multi-channel sound encloses the viewer. Choreographed by code, a circle of machine quartets investigate chance, emergence, friction, resonance and change.”

It’s also inspirational, as works by Michael Kleber-Diggs, Julie Gard, Sheila Packa, and Kathleen Roberts both illuminated the work as well as brought us to new insights.

The book sold out of its initial print run at the event, which was awesome, but is still available on Amazon.

And if you’d like to experience part of the art, the digital part of what is really a multimedia installation, visit this URL.
