For your Election Day amusement Perfect Duluth Day flashes back one decade to 2007, when Don Ness was elected mayor of Duluth. Above is WDIO-TV Eyewitness News footage from the primary on Sept. 11, and below is coverage by Fox 21 and WDIO from the general on Nov. 6.

Ness and Charlie Bell emerged from a crowded field of candidates in the primary. Some of the other candidates are shown in the sloppy mashup of website graphics below.

… not to mention Robert Wagner.

Also among the candidates, though not on the ballot, was Mr. Nice.

But through it all, Ness emerged, and was congratulated on PDD with various bizarre graphics.
