Duluth National Regatta of 1916

Regatta1916DNT01

One century ago, Duluth hosted the 44th annual regatta of the National Association of Amateur Oarsmen. The event ran Aug. 11 and 12, 1916, with the Duluth team winning nine of the 12 events it entered.

It’s practically impossible to read the fine print on these full pages of the Duluth News Tribune, but feel free to request in the comments to see any part of this in a larger, readable format. It can be done.

Thanks to PDD’s Fairy Research Spy for pulling this out, remembering when the regatta was referenced in a post earlier this year.
