Arts fellowships and grants awarded to Duluth artists and regional organizations

The Arrowhead Regional Arts Council awarded the following grants and fellowships to the following applicants, many from Duluth. If you see these artists, congratulate them.

2015 Fellowship Awards

ARAC awarded 12 individual artists with fellowship grants. The Individual Artist Fellowship program is a competitive program that provides grants of $5,000 to enable artists to set aside time to work, to purchase supplies and materials, to participate in advanced study, or to pursue other activities that will allow them to achieve their artistic goals. Career Development Grants

ARAC awarded a total of $46,383 in Career Development grants. There were 17 individual artists awarded out of 26 applicants. The following is a list of artists granted:

The Career Development Grant program awards up to $3,000 to developing and established regional artists to take advantage of impending, concrete opportunities or to carry out well-planned, time-specific activities that will significantly impact their artistic careers.

Rural and Community Art Project Grants

ARAC awarded a total of $55,410 in Rural and Community Art Project grants. There were 13 organizations awarded out of 14 applicants. The following is a list of organizations granted:

The Rural and Community Arts Grant program provides grants of up to $5,000 to nonprofit regional arts groups to support community or artist initiated arts activities that will impact the group and/or the community it serves.
