Homegrown Music Festival 2015 Primer

Homegrown 2015 Field Guide Homegrown 2015 Mayor McChicken

The eight greasiest days of the year are underway. Here are the various links, hashtags and other tidbits to keep everyone moderately enlightened.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Seth Langreck’s Duluth Band Profiles

There are no schedule changes to report, but there are two minor errors in the Field Guide: 1) The band profile for JMB Band lists the wrong venue. As correctly listed in the schedule, that show will be at Beaner’s Central. 2) The list of venues incorrectly notes an age restriction for shows at Canal Park Brewing Company. Those shows are open to all ages.

The hashtag for this year is #hgmf15. The same hashtag applies for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and whatever other social media crap. (In the past there was a different convention for Flickr tags, which has led to confusion and last year resulted in 255 photo uploads to hgmf14 and 223 uploads to homegrownmusicfestival2014. So, let’s consider the shorter hashtag the winner and go with hgmf15 this year.
