Unusual Art Opening

The Sister Mary Charles opening reception drew close to 500 guests at the Tweed on June 4. Local art luminary Ed Newman gives his account here.

I was most impressed that statewide political leaders (Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon and Representative Mary Murphy) also chose to attend; this was an event (and an exhibit) that reaches far and wide in its impact.

On its social media site, the Tweed thanks the Duluth News Tribune, Duluth Budgeteer News, Woman Today Magazine, Reader Weekly, The Playlist, UMD External Affairs, Essentia Health Daily Dose News, WDIO, Superior Catholic Herald, and Ennyman’s Territory Blog; along with sponsors Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, Benedictine Monastery of St. Scholastica, MSAB and Legacy Fund, the lenders of artworks.
