What? No mention of Everything You've Done That Hurt Me yet?

Paul, I would think the show where a handsome young man proposed to you, and you accepted, would be at the top of your list.

"How the Grinch Shut Down Christmas, or, I Saw Rudolph Twerking Santa Claus", Rubber Chicken Theater's holiday comedy revue.

"God of Carnage" at the Duluth Playhouse was the best show I saw all year.

"The Pillowman" has already been nominated, but it deserves to be renominated and I appreciate the nomination of "Tuesdays with Morrie" as I'm very proud of that show and the performances Kevin and Luke turned in.

I'll also nominate "Metamophoses" and "Everything You've Done That Hurt Me," since they haven't been nominated yet.

My son Simon nominates "Burnt Part Boys" and renominates "The Pillowman" because "it deserves to win."

CATS at the Duluth Playhouse. It is difficult to narrow down to just one with several fabulous musicals in 2013. CATS was better than Toronto and to say "especially for a teenage" cast is a discredit to their talent.

"Summer at Bluefish Cove" at UMD.
"The Pillowman" at Renegade.
"God of Carnage" at The Playhouse.

"The Pillowman" wasn't just the best show I saw in Duluth in 2013, but one of the best shows I've ever seen, period.

"Seussical the Musical" at the CSS Little Theatre was easily the best show in the Twin Ports, let alone Duluth. There really is no comparison.

CATS at the Duluth Playhouse. Far and away the best of the year.

I thought the Pillowman was really damn good, but Tuesday's with Morrie should be recognized. I guess I just felt the most with that show, which is kind of the point.

CATS excelled in performance by young artists as directed by "can-do" Kate Horvath.
