Everyone in the arts was out last night

There were openings at Ochre Ghost, Washington Gallery, and Prøve. I spent the night at Prøve listening to Snöbarn.

Snöbarn has been a staple of events in town — I saw the band perform at Hawk Ridge’s annual fundraiser, at the Duluth Art Institute for an opening, and at UMD. Looking forward to the fruits of the Snöbarn Kickstarter campaign

Ed Newman was there, as was MacRostie Art Center’s Ashley Kolka (Happy Birthday!). New media artist Catherine Meier was there with her beautiful son. Tim Kaiser and Kathy McTavish were there, and Tim had a piece in the show. Art always has a commercial side: Emily Haavik from Swim Creative was there.

And there was art: artists are Ken Kollodge, Catherine L Johnson, Melissa Wagner-Lawler, Tim Kaiser, Molly Roth-Scranton, Apthin Rapp, Minso Kim, Aaron Squadroni, Adam Winnie, Jade Hoyer, Mark Addison Smith, Jan Estep, Hilary Greenstein, William Sattler, Byron Johnson, Jiae Park, Alice Walsh, Kenneth Steinbach, Carolyn Ellis, and Sissorelle Ferox. When Snobarn was not yet there, there was the Crunchy Bunch.

Awesome night out.
