Is that the indicator for the RFID reader for the UMD bike commuting program?

Yes. Well done. Here are the details: https://www.derozap.com/umd/
If you ride to bike over this sweet spot, you hear a rewarding
"beep" from a solar zapping thing and then it counts toward your account. If you ride x number of times in a year, your insurance premiums go down.
Soon, I suppose, they'll just install the zappers directly into our brains.

I'll be in my office all day, Hatcher. I'll be awaiting my prize.

I should have said UMD people excluded but I guess that would have given it away.

Thanks for noticing. That is my 1989 Bridgestone MB-4. Great old bike. She is my winter commuter these days.

Vintage indeed! That's either first-gen rapid fire or SIS.

Someone in Duluth should create a blog dedicated to photos of the cool bikes in the city. There are many great bikes and bike riders in our town. I suppose all it would take is to create a new category right here on PDD.
A nice example is bikefancy.blogspot.com.

I took a moment to snap a shot of this sweet Christmas bike with antler handle bars, but I didn't take long enough of a moment to hold still and focus.

The only thing better than a Bridgestone MB with thumb shifters. . .

. . .is a Bridgestone road bike with bar end shifters.
