I think the following are also 2005:

The Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank - Self titled
Cheep Up Poems - Here Not Up There
Trampled by Turtles - Blue Sky and the Devil

Thanks Edgeways. You are correct on the Hobo Nephews and TBT, which I have added to the list. I had thought of the Hobo Nephews debut, but the band's own website lists it as 2006 and Amazon lists it as copyright 2006 with a release date of Dec. 13, 2007. Further research, however, confirms the Hobos held an album release party at the NorShor on July 1, 2005, with Jamie Ness as the opening act.

The Cheer Up Poems album has a 2006 copyright on the back cover, so that one will appear on a future list.

I've also updated the list based on Andrew's 2005 article. A few notes on that:

* The Alrights album High School, and the Bill Isles album The Calling were both released late in 2004 and appear on that list.

* Are there two Boku Frequency albums -- one self titled and one called Fancy Dancer?

* I'm on the fence about whether White Iron Band qualifies as a Duluth band in 2005. It would be considered a Twin Cities band these days, but back then I think they operated out of the Iron Range area and played Duluth frequently enough to be on the edge of inclusion on the above list. We might have to take this dispute to arbitration or something.
