Maybe this could be an inspiration for the upcoming holidays?

This one is too easy for me, so I’ll shut up. I just drove by it this morning.

Oh great, I finally get one and it’s the “easy” one. I’ll never win.

As for the inspiration, I agree wholeheartedly. With my meager holiday budget I enjoy buying (and eating) local goods.

Yes, shop local, locavore, local local!

Oh, somewhere in Duluth on a brick wall?

Reddomain is correct! It is on the east facing wall of the building that occuppies 2812-2818 W. 3rd Street. I will try to take a pucture of entire wall next time I head out that way.

Any chance for shameless self-promotion? P.S. I heard whispers that Miner’s is tearing down a block of old houses in Superior to build a new Super One. I sent corporate an e-mail inquiry but haven’t heard back. Anyone w/ connections to Miner’s know if there may be some salvage opportunities? P.S.S. Looks like CVS’s acquisitions in Duluth won’t create the chance to save many elements (except strip mall stuff). Although their Superior expansion looks like it will take down a 1/2 block of old houses. Left voicemails to the construction manager in the SE US, and predictably have not heard back. Cheers.

P.S.S.S. The self promotion question was wondering about inclusion in the gift guide … sorry “thread creep.”

johnm – yes. The way it works has been this – we post a dozen or so things that we’ve found that are locally-made-or-connected gift ideas, then the comments are opened up for more ideas.
Here is last year’s pile of fun.
