Walking Dead

I went to the Zinema 2 last night to watch the Walking Dead.

Zombie Theology, July 2011

This event was sparked by the Comic Book Guy at DragonPort Games and Comics last year. As I understand it, he contacted the Zinema and co-promoted the event. The house was stuffed to the gills, SRO.

This year, the event has arrived with a little less fanfare, and a few more open seats. Fine by me, I guess, but I’d bet the Zinema and DragonPort want to see a few more butts in seats, a few more beers in hands (as the event is free, concessions are vital — buy a beer!), and a few more readers of the awesome comic.

Therefore:

The Zinema2, in partnership with Dragonport Games and Comics, welcomes you to Season 2 of the Walking Dead. Come watch Walking Dead at Zinema2 in downtown Duluth Sundays. Admission is free; the concession stand will serve affordable popcorn, beer, and tasty sweets.

Then, send a photograph of yourself, reading Image Comics’ The Walking Dead, to [email protected]. We encourage safe creativity in this photo submission. Select entries will receive a gift certificate to Dragonport Games and Comics, http://www.dragonportgames.com/ and may be posted on the shop’s blog and/or Facebook page.

See you there!

Last night's Walking Dead season 2 premiere was one of the most fun experiences I've had working at Zinema 2. We can't wait for next week!

Do they start at 8 or 9 pm?

I am so glad the Zinema and Dragonport put this on. Not only do those of us without cable get to feel the zombie love, there is something great about watching it with a large crowd of people. The collective groan that was voiced with each commercial break made me smile!

What time? Zinema site doesn't seem to say. (Unless I'm stupid and overlooked it.)
