ARAC announces grant deadline

From Robert DeArmond
Executive Director
October 28, 2011 Deadline

In this new fiscal year, the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council announces that the Two-year Administrative Support Grant Program application deadline will be Friday, Oct. 28. The ARAC Board will review these grants on Thursday, Jan. 19, and funds will be available by Feb. 1.

A free grant-writing workshop to explain the Administrative Support Grant program and assist with grant preparation will take place in the ARAC Meeting Room, Suite 120, Marshall Professional Building, Duluth, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

The Two-Year Administrative Support grant program makes it possible for arts organizations to request up to $8,000 over a two-year period. This grant program does require a 20% match on the part of the organization. The primary purpose for these grants is to allow organizations two years of consistent funding to support ongoing administrative needs and services, or to cover vital operating expenses in times of transition. It is the hope of ARAC that recipients will find themselves more stable at the end of this two year period. Funds can be budgeted flexibly across the two years. To repeat, the deadline for this grant program is October 28, 2011. This grant program has only one deadline per year.

Program guidelines may be downloaded from the ARAC website: www.aracouncil.org, or copies may be requested from the ARAC office in the Marshall Professional Building, 1301 Rice Lake Road, Suite 120. For more information call 218-722-0952 or 800-569-8134, or email info @ aracouncil.org.
