Harvest Fest Success

A tally of cards distributed and brochures, as well as a deep ache in our bones, tells us that Wildwoods Rehabilitation talked to nearly 300 people today between 11 and 5pm.

Some were curious about what we do, some were curious about oil spills in the gulf, and some were already friends of the Center and of our mascot, Delilah. Some were taken with the art of Jenna Miller, the Superior, WI painter who has designed t-shirts and greeting cards as a fund raiser for Wildwoods. And some will soon be our friends on Facebook.

A few folks were already working, in an ad hoc way, as rehabbers. If you are interested in seeking formal education and licensure as a rehabber, contact Wildwoods and your local DNR for information!

Did you have a Harvest Fest story to tell? Our friend Clara managed to get a kite about 30 feet into the sky; her 11-year-old daughter made it over the bandshell and far into the sky, until she ran out of string.
