Dulcimer Day in Duluth traditional music festival — May 7
Saturday, May 7, is the tenth year for the Dulcimer Day in Duluth festival. There will be a concert at 1 pm and 7 pm at the Coppertop Church with top dulcimer performers from NC, IN and KS. There will also be 20 classes throughout the day on mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, ukulele, shapenote singing, music theory, needlefelting, backup guitar and how to jam. Local craft and instrument vendors will be there 10-4 p.m. For more info, go to DulcimersInDuluth.com/.
You’ll hear Cajun music, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley tunes, and good ol’ traditional music on the dulcimers.
