This sale is likely to be subject to the Foreign Investment and National Security Act, which will require a stringent review of the sale before transfer it to a Chinese owned company. Homeland Security, Treasury, the State Department and others will have to sign off on the sale before it is finalized. It will probably be approved as long as Cirrius does not manufacture any military-ready avionics. I don't think they do, but who knows what goes on b/w the cracks?

Secondly, the jobs will go bye-bye as quickly as the Red Stars can tool up. (Pun intended Timmy!) I assume most of you are in agreement, as it's common knowledge that Cirrus has pretty much reached sales capacity here in the states. It's a nice airplane, but fairly limited in its utility capacity. The Chinese are licking their chopsticks to get their hands on American avian technology, and Jimmy gave it to them with a silver platter. I think it's just so apropos that Jimmy's legacy will be the airbase and Cirrus both leaving.
