It’s been a few years since Perfect Duluth Day has conducted a poll, but with one of the most important races in Minnesota history being decided on Tuesday, it seems like now is a good time for it.

So …

Hey I voted and it said I’d already voted! And I know I didn’t! Unless my evil step-twin voted on my laptop. What gives?

So, you voted, but you know you didn’t vote?

Anyway, we ain’t exactly Zogby International here. This is the first time PDD has done a poll on WordPress, and I might have the settings mixed up, but it seems to be working correctly.

    Is anyone else having issues?

Keep in mind that, when you vote, it should register your vote and then tell you you’ve already voted, which means you can’t vote again, no matter how big of a John Pastor or Debra Taylor fan you are.

Any party affiliations in this race? Specifically, are any of them members of the Rent is Too Damned High party?

I’m a die-hard beerandbarbeque party man all the way.

I love this race! There isn’t a constant barrage of TV commercials. And as far as I know there’s no roving bands of Pastor supporters roaming the Skywalk punching Taylor supporters in the throat. I wish they were all like this one.

I was leaning towards Debra Taylor, but just this morning I got a text message from the John Pastor campaign. Apparently Debra Taylor does not support kittens. I for one cannot consciously vote for a kitten hater.

I did a little bit of searching and there is actually a little bit of information about these candidates! Scroll down to South St. Louis.

John Pastor is a fabulous guy and a dedicated environmentalist. Absolutely worth your vote.

This poll is closed now. I must say I expected “Undecided” to win in a landslide, so congratulations to John Pastor for his upset win.

And good luck to both candidates in the election.

In the end, it’s true what they say; don’t believe the polls. Taylor won the official ballot with 58 percent of votes.
