I would have enjoyed this video much more if Ross had been given a puppy at the end of it.

But where are all the cops?

I DJ’d there a few times in the 90s under one of the failed former incarnations, it was a dump and bringing in a DJ didn’t help, (especially not me). One thing that did go over well, was their street dance, hopefully they stick with that tradition. Speedy Wienie was a vendor for that once or twice and the whole block was packed.

I wish this guy well, great move bringing back the old name.

It’s pretty obvious why bars in that space have struggled in recent years. The DNT laid off half the regulars.

The original Pioneer was the cop bar.

It’s finally safe at the Pioneer, with all the cops and reporters out of there.

That was a decent piece that was informative. Thanks.

Ross does an awesome job running that bar. Very friendly guy along with the rest of the staff. Drinks a very reasonable (25 oz. Bell’s Two-Hearted for $4.00!!) can’t beat it. Much cleaner place than the old Pio. Although the old Pio had a lot of character and characters, I’m a proud patron of the place. Keep it up Ross!

The bathroom still smells like rotten pickles.
