I disagree, but I admire the man immensely, mainly for his performance on my favorite TV show of the early 80s "That's Incredible" but also for his many joint appearances with Tony Robbins on late night TV infomercials that I saw when I was up late minding other people's business as an RA in college. I came to love football in my 20s so I missed his Vikings days. But reading the stats and stories, he was awesome. And I guess he knows it, too. Notice how he refers to himself in the 3rd person in the article.

Someone needs to give Tarkenton a quarter (or is it fifty cents these days?) so he can call someone who cares.

Here here Fran. If the Vikes end up winning the Super Bowl it will be a hollow victory. Brett Farve is a tool.

No way will it be hollow, it's even better that we could win it with Favre, this season has been unbelievable. Packers fans conveniently keep forgetting that YOUR TEAM LET HIM GO! You traded him away and wouldn't let him come to MN because you knew he'd kick your asses if he did. Where's your loyalty Packers fans? He gave you 16 complete seasons, your first Super Bowl since the 60s, and countless memories. I'm not saying you should be cheering for the guy now but keep it in perspective. He wasn't a Packer when we signed him, he was a free agent.

Fran is full of shit, he played for the Giants after us, maybe they weren't in our division, but they were still in our conference. You can't tell me that if the Pack were the only team that wanted him he wanted have taken it.
