  1. This was fantastic. A big thank you to Mike, Misty, Val, and Michael! And, of course, the people of Wisconsin.

Can your next documentary be about the sow’s ear? Because that group of knitters is totally up to something.

  2. I hate those knitters with their fancy needles and extravagant yarns, no doubt purchased with taxpayer money. And did you notice all those overpaid public servants sporting their expensive Aaron Rodgers jerseys and lavish Bucky Badger caps? Good for you, Scott Walker, for sticking it to those financially-bloated lefties. Now, if you can just throw a few more hundred million in tax breaks to the fat cats and corporations, all will be right with the world.

  3. Excellent freak show! It kind of reminds me of those People of Wallmart emails. Check out the girl dancing at 8:42. She’s awesome, kind of a robot that’s dosed on too much LSD. Or the girls statement at 6:45 calling it a socialist hippy commune. Bravo! Nicely done people!

  4. I was wondering when the Spinal Tap/Best in Show group were going to put out another movie.

  5. Does anyone know what happened in the capitol when the bill passage was announced? It would be hard to be there, hear that, and not want to just bring shit down around you.

  6. Bad Cat- you have to watch a commercial at the beginning, but this video shows how they really just blasted this thing through in a really questionable manner.

  7. BadCat… well here is a onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview','/yoast-ga/outbound-comment/http://www.youtube.com']);">snippit of the aftermath

AT this point Walker has painted himself in a corner and is continuing to double down even though his medium term future is fucked. According to WORT State Troopers are now in court trying to get legal protection from “illegal” use of State Patrol by the Governor. Already one R Senator has called on Walker to bring in the National Guard. People are being dragged out of the State Capitol. The WI Senate leader was on camera saying that the intention is to break the unions so they can break Obama.. as much as some will scoff and use dismissive language, this is class warfare. At some point you have to choose sides and right now the choice is Walker and Koch or teachers and middle class workers.

“You don’t have to love unions, you don’t have to believe that their policy positions are always right, to recognize that they’re among the few influential players in our political system representing the interests of middle- and working-class Americans, as opposed to the wealthy.”

  8. A little something enjoyable about the Koch’s I read a couple of weeks back:

“The KOCH brothers must be stopped. They gave $40K to Scott Walker, the MAX allowed by state law. That’s small potatoes compared to the $100+ million they give to other organizations. These organizations will terrify you. If the anti-union thing weren’t enough, here are bigger and better reasons to stop the evil Kochs. They are trying to:

    1. decriminalize drugs,
    2. legalize gay marriage,
    3. repeal the Patriot Act,
    4. end the police state,
    5. cut defense spending.

Who hates the police? Only the criminals using drugs, amirite? We need the Patriot Act to allow government to go through our emails and tap our phones to catch people who smoke marijuana and put them in prison. Oh, it’s also good for terrorists.

Wikipedia shows Koch Family Foundations supporting causes like:

    1. CATO Institute
    2. Reason Foundation
    3. cancer research
    4. ballet (because seriously: FUCK. THAT. SHIT.) …

If there’s one thing I know about billionaires, it’s that they only care about money. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and George Soros. They aren’t fooling me. Bill Gates isn’t fooling me with his vaccination campaign in Africa. He’s just trying to make African children live longer so they will buy more copies of Windows. Wow. Not even trying to hide it.

Now, I don’t know why the KOCH brothers want gay people to have the right to marry. Everybody knows marriage is for a man and a woman. Even Obama said that. Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve amirite? I haven’t figured out the angle. Maybe it’s like this:

    1. legalize drugs
    2. legalize gay marriage
    3. sell drugs and oil to gays
    4. ????
    5. PROFIT$$$

I don’t know exactly how it would work, but we can all agree that they’re evil.”

  9. “In 2006, Buffett announced in June that he gradually would give away 85% of his Berkshire holdings to five foundations in annual gifts of stock, starting in July 2006.”

  10. Only YOU can stop the Kochtopus…don’t use Dixie cups or gasoline.

Ballet? Damn those mofos are EVIL!

  11. Don’t confuse the Koch’s social agenda with their economic agenda. Here are a couple of guys worth 40+ billion dollars who want to do away with Social Security and public schools. That working people might achieve a meager retirement through Social Security is too much for them to bear. The Koch’s father was high up in the John Birch Society. I guess that’s why they are such a good fit when it comes to funding the Tea Party.

  12. The argument that citizens should be OK with the Koch Bros. funding the Tea Party and buying the governor of Wis. because the Kochs also support gay marriage and the ballet is absolutely moronic. Good point, Dave S, about keeping separate the Kochs’ economic and social agendas.

BTW, Love the signs in the video, there certainly are some creative protesters in Madison!

  13. But the Koch’s dad being in the John Birch Society is perfectly relevant? Got it.
