Written in the Stars: Star Garland from Recycled Books

Attendees can make a garland and paper chain out of recycled book pages. In this class, attendees utilize pages from discarded books to learn how to make 3D five-pointed stars of varying sizes and an accompanying paper chain. With some folding, glue and simple ribbon, it is possible to make decor for the holiday or to display year-round.

Participants receive a kit that has enough materials to make seven stars and a small coordinating paper chain, perfect to decorate a window or a small tree. The stars can be completed so they stay 3D or so they fold flat for easy storage.
