Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault hosts a supportive hiking group at local trails and parks.
Take Back the Hike is a private and trauma-informed hiking group to encourage safe, guided connections to community and nature in the Twin Ports. Hikes are led by two advocates, and select hikes feature special guests to provide additional educational information about the trails, flora and fauna.
This biweekly group offers a mix of easy-to-moderate hiking opportunities, ideal for beginners and experienced hikers alike. PAVSA offers the 1-2 hour hike with supplemental activities and breaks as needed.
