Superior Nightmare 5K 2026

Runners can dress in a costume for this annual combination of Halloween and running. Participants can enter the costume contest to decide the day’s best-dressed, best group and kids’ costumes. Race placements are sorted by adult women, men, non-binary individuals and youth categories.

All Superior Nightmare 5K participants receive a commemorative crewneck sweatshirt, with the option of adding a $7 pair of socks exclusive to this year’s race.

Kids can run free, open to all participants ages 14 & under. The kids’ races start at 11:45 a.m., shortly after the conclusion of the main race. Youth races run continuously from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., so kids may join anytime and are allowed to run in multiple heats as space allows.
