Introduction to Spoon Carving

Duluth Folk School presents this three-hour introduction to the craft of greenwood spoon carving. Participants finish the class with their own hand-carved serving spoon.

At the beginning of class the group studies safety, knife grips and traditional techniques for carving. The rest of the class involves applying what has been learned to transform the provided spoon blank into a completed spoon.
