Great North Tattoo Fest

Great North Tattoo Fest is an immersive weekend where the needle is the paintbrush and the body is the canvas. One hundred fifty tattoo artists are making tattoos all weekend long, and many of them will accept walk-ups.

There are also daily tattoo competitions, giving artists the chance to vie for bragging rights and trophies in contests in various categories. Also, a marketplace features dozens of vendors selling fine arts, jewelry and custom clothing.

Friday Schedule
1 p.m. – Festival doors open
2 p.m. – Booth judging begins
2 to 9 p.m. – Tattoo contest registration opens
9 p.m. – Contests begin
10 p.m. – Doors close

Saturday Schedule
11 a.m. – Festival doors open
Noon to 9:15 p.m. – Tattoo contest registration opens
5 p.m. – Worst Tattoo Contest hosted by Removery
6 p.m. – Tattoo contest judging begins
10 p.m. – Doors close

Sunday Schedule
11 a.m. – Festival doors open
Noon to 3:30 p.m. – Tattoo contest registration opens
4 p.m. – Tattoo contest judging begins
5:15 p.m. – Contests begin
7 p.m. – Doors close
