MLK Gathering and March 2026

Plans for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. march have been altered due to forecasted cold weather. Marchers are gathering in lobby of the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center adjacent to Symphony Hall. The march begins at approximately 11:30 a.m. through the Duluth Skywalk.

The Duluth chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People leads the organizing of MLK events to honor and carry on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The 2026 theme is “Make a Career of Humanity,” drawn from the words of Dr. King: “Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in.”
