Join Duluth NAACP for their annual Juneteenth celebration! As has been a tradition for decades, the Duluth branch of the NAACP will once again honor and celebrate Juneteenth with free food, family fun, local vendors, community resources, music, prizes and more. There are many ways to participate in the NAACP Juneteenth celebration other than just attending the event. The Duluth Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) invites you to the annual Juneteenth celebration in the outdoor place of the Central Hillside Community Center. Juneteenth is American holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865 abolition of slavery. This celebration is both an opportunity to acknowledge the history of slavery and the impact it continues to have today, as well as a chance for all of us to live in a community of freedom.…
