Teen Open Studio
Students ages 13–17 are invited to explore their creativity at the Duluth Art Institute’s Lincoln Park Building during spring sessions of Teen Open Studio. Attendees can bring headphones and creative ideas; art supplies are provided, but students can also bringing their own.
A $50 registration fee covers all 26 sessions, which run from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 1 to Dec. 1. Attending every session is not necessary.
Creative Studio First Wednesdays: What is a Critique with Robb Quisling
Ever wonder what makes a critique actually helpful? Join artist and educator Robb Quisling for a conversation about the purpose of critique, how it can strengthen your creative practice, and how to give and receive thoughtful, constructive feedback. Listen in while you work on your own creative projects in the multipurpose classroom space.
Following the presentation, participants are invited to stay for an optional one-on-one critique with Robb to put these ideas into practice. Perfect for developing and emerging artists.
First Wednesdays is part of a regular Weekly Creative Studio program with additional artist resources, special guests and professional development opportunities available during work time.
Ski and board club enrolling for 2014
ArrowSki club is a recreational club for skiers and boarders from age 6 to 16. The mission is to foster self-esteem, friendship, confidence and a lifelong love of boarding and skiing through the alpine experience, exploration and fun.
