Tundra’s Summer Cooldown
The Lake Superior Zoo presents a one-of-a-kind tasting event featuring 30+ flavors from seven creameries across the Upper Midwest—including the Twin Cities, Grand Rapids, St. Cloud and Wisconsin. Sample small-batch goodness without leaving Duluth. The ticket gets participants a tasting cup and unlimited one-ounce scoops, so wander, sample and discover a new favorite flavor. The Zoo is open after hours for a more relaxed vibe. Catch some animals exploring special enrichments along the way.

First Street Friday
The city of Duluth’s Planning and Economic Development Department is holding its second First Street Friday, following the inaugural event in June. First Street Friday is an “activation event” series in the downtown business district which invites community members to reimagine the First Street corridor.
First Street is closed during the event between First and Second avenues west for a summer block party featuring live performances, a market with local vendors, and the launch of the Discover First Street Passport program.
Kids Garden Club
Attendees should dress for a mess and meet by the garden in the Upper Plaza (or in the Youth Services Area in bad weather). Kids over 7 may attend without a caregiver, and younger siblings are welcome under the direct supervision of a caregiver.
