Golf Scramble with DCHS
Douglas County Historical Society announces the 2026 History Classic, a golf tournament and fundraiser for DCHS. There is a shotgun start starting at noon with teams having the opportunity to play 18 holes of golf at the Nemadji Golf Coursewhile competing for prizes. After the tournament, teams will meet at the clubhouse for a social hour, raffle drawings, a cash bar and a taco buffet.
All proceeds will go to the Douglas County Historical Society and the mission of :
“Preserving the History of Douglas County and sharing our stories”.
Duluth Superior Pride 2026: Foo Foo Choo Choo Afterparty
What started as an unofficial event is now an annual tradition. Foo Foo Choo Choo train-partiers and Pride celebrators in general gather on the Duluth Flame’s award-winning dance floor to shake it with a live DJ all night.

The Duluth Flame’s annual Pride Karaoke event is like normal karaoke, but gayer. It is hosted by Dixie Diamond.

Duluth Superior Pride 2026: Party X
The Duluth Flame’s annual Party X features prize giveaways, a live DJ, a light show and an open dance floor. The event is part of Duluth Superior Pride weekend and the cover charge at the door benefits the Duluth Superior Pride nonprofit.

5W State Fair Poster Night
Inspired by the educational display 4-H posters at the Minnesota State Fair, the 5W State Fair Poster Night invites community members to create an educational poster about a topic of interest and explore a gallery walk of community-made posters. The five Ws are: wit, wisdom, whimsy, worldliness and wonder.
Attendees can also sign up to present on a topic for up to five minutes or listen to others’ presentations. The event is emceed by friendly puppets.
Biwabik Music in the Park: Vitamin Brown
Biwabik’s Music in the Park series runs every other Thursday from June 18 to Aug. 27. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Vitamin Brown has been sharing their classic rock and rocking blues beats with audiences since 2010. They play anything from the 60s to todays radio hits.
Biwabik Music in the Park: Big T & the Growlers
Biwabik’s Music in the Park series runs every other Thursday from June 18 to Aug. 27. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Big T & the Growlers are a local favorite up north and play 60s Cassette music.
Biwabik Music in the Park: Willy Martin & the Rangers
Biwabik’s Music in the Park series runs every other Thursday from June 18 to Aug. 27. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Willy Martin & the Rangers is a five piece, honkey tonk, country band from the Iron Range.
Biwabik Music in the Park: Freemen Bluegrass Band
Biwabik’s Music in the Park series concludes with a performances by Freemen Bluegrass Band. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Freeman Bluegrass Band not only plays bluegrass type music, but dabbles in folk and even a little bit of gospel.
Whole Foods Co‑op Farm Tour
Tour three of the local farms with Whole Foods Co-op. Meet the farmers, learn about how they farm, why it matters and how local food moves from field to shelf in Northern Minnesota.
A motorcoach will take participants to tour three farms in Wrenshall – Food Farm, Northern Harvest Farm / Spirit Creek and Y-ker Acres and then head to Chambers Grove Park for a picnic lunch with boxed lunches from the Co-op. Space is limited. Registration is required by Sunday, August 16.
The motorcoach will leave the Whole Foods Co-op Denfeld store parking lot promptly at 9 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in.
The tour is of working farms, which include live animals and electric fences. Expect to walk for about 45-60 minutes at a time. Note that the ground may be uneven and/or muddy. Please dress for the weather. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This tour is not a good fit for children younger than 12. Because these are working farms, service animals are not permitted on this tour. The kneeling motorcoach lowers the front end to the height of the curb.
If cost is a barrier, a limited number of tickets are available at a reduced rate to those with low incomes. These tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To inquire about availability, email jenna @ wholefoods.coop.
