The lake ate big chunks of shoreline yesterday. The fort on Park Point survived the storm, just barely, but the huge white pine that stood next to it didn’t make it.

Is there a story behind that fort? I’ve noticed it while hiking at the end of Park Point, and it’s pretty elaborate.
It’s been there as long as I can remember, but I’ve only lived here for 17 years.
