Mystery Photo #1: Chester Bowl

This photo was purportedly shot at Chester Bowl in 1936. Who are these gals? What were they doing that day? Who shot the photo?

There are thousands of pictures like this in shoe boxes at antique stores or for sale on eBay for $2 — the details and identities seemingly lost forever.

The objectives of the Duluth Mystery Photo series are:

1) Maybe someone will actually recognize a person or find a clue that helps unravel the mysteries of a photo.

2) At the very least, it’s an opportunity for you to write fan fiction about characters and scenery in random old pics.

Does anyone recognize the patch on the (to us, right hand side) girl’s pants leg? It’s not Girl Scouts, but looks similar.

Maybe it’s the Illuminati patch, at least that’s what my Notes from the Block hint at.

Peter Spooner has been trying to do something similar, coincidentally, on the Chester Bowl History page.
