Happy tenth birthday to us
Perfect Duluth Day is ten years old today – Saturday, June 29, 2013. The official celebration runs from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Underground in the Duluth Depot. Free keg of Starfire Ale, courtesy of the Fitger’s Brewhouse, and cash bar after that.

Thanks for having a decade of pee-double-dees with us.

The celebration actually started on Friday, when the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce honored PDD with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Graffiti Graveyard.
It seemed like a good opportunity for an Upset Duluth photo.
Cutting a ribbon with giant scissors has been a lifelong dream for me. Dream: fulfilled!
The grand prize today at the PDDX party is this sexy Loll rocking chair, by the way:
The prize wheel is ready for spinning.
Next time you need name tags with Gravitars.
I was robbed of the Adirondack chair today.
The fine, yet journalistically lacking, folks at FOX 21 News were nice enough to give some props to Barrett’s rarely seen twin Garret in this report.

It’s weird that Barrett’s name could get misspelled, because the first thing TV interviewers ask you to do when they start shooting is to state your name and spell it. But mistakes happen.
WDIO also reported on the event. Barrett’s name was spelled correctly in that one, but PDD’s number of monthly unique visitors was misstated as “2,000.” The correct number, according to Google Analytics, is 20,000.
Yes, sir. Our usual hard-hitting TV news teams are on the job.
I’m not sure why they interviewed my twin brother instead of me. I mean, I’m the co-founder, but Garret is only “a worker at Perfect Duluth Day.”
