Terrible Duluth Public Schools Wikipedia

I am not a Wiki person but I am just putting this out there to those of you who are: check out the Duluth Public Schools Wikipedia Page.  Not only is it outdated and lacks proofreading it is quite salacious and suggests “controversity” (sic) without evidence to support those claims.  I don’t have the knowledge to update the page but would like to see something better out there!

Those who believe the following statement is true, probably need to go back to school.

ISD 709’s school board has been breaking the law consistantly [consistently] for the past few years. They [It] passed the contriversial [controversial] Red Plan without public imput [input], and there is money being traded under the table between Superintendent Keith Dixon and the independant [independent] contractor, Johnson Controls. They have neglicted [neglected] to follow enviromental [environmental] tests before building. Keith Dixon is retiring with a large sum of bribes from Johnson Controls this summer.

Or maybe they should consider running for mayor of Superior.

Every rumor has a grain of truth… spelling doesn’t disqualify rumors or conspiracies it just weakens the theory or rumor

Rumors have no place on wiki.

There were over 100 meetings (yes 100), all open to the public, who along with various experts contributed 10,000 hours of input to the Long Range Facilities Plan. Citizens, teachers, district employees, school board members and members of the local business community and other local government entities participated in the process. If you didn’t bother to attend any of these meetings- or at least made a modest effort to get informed, would you please STFU?

Spelling or grammar doesn’t disqualify rumors and conspiracies. They do however lend insight into the intelligence and education of those who believe said rumors and conspiracies.

If I don’t like it, it must be illegal. It just must.

The whole page is a bit off with a link to a non-existent “Harbor City High School” as well as listing Marshall under “Duluth Public Schools.”

    Too funny.

Was this what they paid that web consultant like $20,000 to do sometime last year, or a couple of years ago? This looks like something out of Wisconsin!

Wow, this is bizarre. I always thought Wikipedia was known for being a bastion of correct information and whatnot.

The three high schools in the district serve grades 9-12, and feature Juggalo Championship Wrestling on weekends.

Someone should start a board so we can bet on when Wiki will lock the page down.

“The recent edit you made to Central High School (Duluth, Minnesota) has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive.”

The four middle schools in the district serve grades 6-8, with the exception of Lincoln Park, which serves Faygo cola.

    Awesome.

Well now Lincoln Park serves Faygo Cola.

Hey Paul, I think you mean mayor of Duluth, they did elect both Bergson and Ness after all.

All controversial material has been removed by today’s date.

I hesitate to ask, but … um … what?

He’s practicing to be a troll. Not quite there yet, but he’s working on it….

I know it is childish, but I can’t help by enjoy changing these type of wiki entries…like updating the names to “Lincoln Log Middle School” and “Laura Croft Elementary”
