I’ve had Homegrown fever since the last day of Homegrown last year. Man, oh man, am I excited. I got the inside scoop on a Wednesday night performance. I don’t know if it’s top secret or not but when I heard it I pretty much jumped for joy. May can’t come soon enough.

I think I may have heard the same rumor for Wednesday that you did. I am already planning my PTO days at work…

ooooo, the Homegrown rumor mill is churning! I plan on quitting if the “man” tries to hold me back from my Homegrown fun.

Top secret! Y’all hush up now, the schedule will be out soon soon.

    Why so secretive?

  7. Shana Shana on February 26, 2011 at 7:57 am

Oh, just in case shit changes. I don’t want people to get psyched about something before we’re done adjusting the schedule. Das all.

Understandable. As The Go Go’s famously said, our lips are sealed.

The Dead Man Winter show got canceled last year. Did they ever fill that spot last year? And will the NorShor be open for Homegrown?

  10. TimK TimK on February 26, 2011 at 1:07 pm

Norshor will not be open for HG this year.

Dead Man Winter canceled a few days before the scheduled show last year. There was not a replacement act.

YEA! But if that Matt Ray and The Damn Horses band ain’t in a kick ass spot, there’s gonna be trouble!! Put them in a room where we can SHAKE it!!

Thanks Paul. I just know so many bands try to get into Hometown. It’s just to bad some other band or a person with an acoustic set could of took advantage of the open set or an open mic or Homegrown karaoke.

Generally, when it gets down to the week before, everything stays pretty locked to avoid extra insanity.

If you’re nice to the trolley lady she’ll probably let you play on the bus.

And house parties. Duluth, do we need to have a talk about this? I know there’s houses, and I know there’s party. This is like chocolate and peanut butter with Homegrown bringing the serendipity.

I was hoping to get a schedule this weekend. Guess I have to wait a little longer.

The “2nd Annual Homegrown Basement Show and BYOB-BBQ” will be happening again after the kickball game featuring bands that didn’t make the cut. I’ll post a flyer once bands are finalized.

Way to go money! I can’t wait. Last year’s party was one of the best house parties I’ve ever been to, and that’s saying a lot!

Is this the Homegrown chicken emerging from Lake Superior or am I just seeing things?

    X2 to c-freak’s comment.

What were those eggs that Hot Rod was eating/ dry heaving?

2 story beer bong? yes that was a party.

  20. Paul Lundgren Paul Lundgren on March 1, 2011 at 8:36 am

Swell party, indeed. Hot Rod brought “preserved duck eggs.”

They smell a little funky, but chicks still dig ’em.
