Cooking on the Car at Beaner’s
Jason Wussow and Dan Dresser’s adventures in cooking on the exhaust manifold of a 1989 Toyota Camry continue tonight. They’re making a special meal for the mayor and his wife. A screening of the short “Cooking on the Car” movie will be part of the event.

Speaking of coffee shops, the Red Mug in Superior is celebrating its 5th anniversary with prizes and specials all day today.
This is a very funny film and well-worth seeing. We saw it at the Big Water Film Festival in Washburn, WI earlier this month.
I hear there’s a Mr. Nice video debut tonight as well.

Not that this is in any way related to the post at hand, but whenever I hear “Beaners”, all I can think of is that old dank strip club in Superior that used to make the Lamplighter look classy. Haven’t lived in the red zone (twin ports) since ’96, so please pardon my ignorance as it relates to the current establishment.
