You could win $100! Just feed the PDD marketing weasel by taking a privacy-invading survey.

PDDMarketingWeasel89457Seriously. Perfect Duluth Day is going to give away $100 to one randomly drawn survey participant. Isn’t that awesome enough to make you want to answer a bunch of personal questions without feeling any reservations or contempt?

Good. Then click this link:
SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED.

Why have PDD’s powers-that-be ignored their natural Minnesota Lutheran shame and commenced prodding you to disclose information that is none of their business? Because that’s how the vicious gears of capitalism work, you silly goose.

We all got bills to pay, yo.

This survey will gather information that PDD’s marketing weasel can use to show other marketing weasels how this Web site is an ideal place to advertise certain products and services.

Rest assured, the intentions of this survey are entirely money-grabbing in nature, just as the rationale of participating in it should be. There are no plans to streamline content on PDD, based on survey results, in order to produce a highly targeted product that is perfectly tailored to your distinct demographic. PDD wouldn’t stoop that low. This is just about selling more of those little squares on the right of the page.

Your info won’t be shared with anyone, and you won’t be put on any spam list or further bothered in any way. It is Perfect Duluth Day’s policy to be as upfront and forthright as possible while taking advantage of you.

Thanks, and good luck.

I’m happy to support PDD by filling out the survey (though it was a bit creepy when it asked what I was wearing). Are there any other ways to support PDD right now (like shirts, bumper stickers, etc.)? Kharma demands I give back some.

Survey participation is all the support we’re willing to grovel for at this time. Thanks Bad Cat!

I did it, but just for the money.

  4. ironic1 ironic1 on October 21, 2009 at 8:52 am

Do it for the rocking video at the end!

  5. samh samh on October 21, 2009 at 10:04 am

Yes, as ironic1 says, do it for the rocking video at the end!

I did it for the children.

PDD is awesome, thanks. Funny questions.

Survey taken and yes, the video. At 2:55 – those eyes had a major effect on my adolescent life. Well that and the video for “Wicked Game.”

Was that The Bangles or Villi Manilli?

    Peace

Speaking of Milli Vanilli, my brother had a friend who told me that they didn’t actually whistle the whistle part before the bridge/verse at about 2:00. I never really believed him, he said it was a synthesizer. I still think it’s real.

I don’t think it asked me what I was wearing, did I miss something. And like others, I didn’t mind talking about it.

I mean I didn’t mind taking the survey. Hopefully it will bring in some better targeted ads. Although I suppose I am not at all typical … I’m an atypical type.

Can you publish the results of this poll on PDD?

  13. Paul Lundgren Paul Lundgren on October 23, 2009 at 10:38 am

    Yes.

  14. vicarious vicarious on October 23, 2009 at 1:59 pm

Since you haven’t announced any other winner, I’ll assume I won. Do you need to know my address to send the check?

  15. Paul Lundgren Paul Lundgren on October 23, 2009 at 2:19 pm

The winner won’t be chosen for another week or two, once the entries start tapering off.

Although we live in the instant-gratification world of the Internet, you’ll have to imagine it’s 19whatever and we all have to “allow four to six weeks for delivery.”

What happens if I travel around the wireless areas and submit entries from 10 different email addresses? 🙂

  17. huitz huitz on October 23, 2009 at 5:41 pm

Wait, I know the answer. I spent $100 on gas and wear and tear.

I would just like to add Rollerskating to my activities. Why was that not an option when there is a roller rink in this area you can easily convince to advertise here? Especially since the whole roller derby thing is pretty damn hot… and most of the league spends time on PDD.

  19. pddamnit pddamnit on October 24, 2009 at 9:56 pm

Yea baby.. No roller derby option, baby.?? wtf..

I did it – felt like an internet dating questionaire – found myself clicking on what I wish I could aspire to: smoking pot and sailing!
Please update us as to how many people actually clicked smoking pot.

  21. Cheryl Cheryl on November 4, 2009 at 1:12 pm

    So…..who won?

  22. Paul Lundgren Paul Lundgren on November 4, 2009 at 2:47 pm

It’s a bizarre coincidence that someone named Cheryl commented asking who won, because the answer is Cheryl … but it’s not the Cheryl who asked.

Congratulations to Cheryl Hanson of Washburn, Wis. She is our lucky $100 prize winner.

“No frickin way! I can’t believe it! I never win anything!” said Cheryl. Well, she can consider herself a winner from here on out.

Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey. Time now to tabulate the results and find out who you people think you are.
