Where in Duluth?

Another installment of the exciting game in which, for nothing but bragging rights, PDD readers battle to be the first to identify the spot in Duluth where a select photo was shot.

The wall near the honking house?
Good guess, but no.
On the honking house?
Getting colder.
Up your butt and two blocks over?
A little farther than two blocks.
This might be Perfect *Duluth* Day, but I’m throwing out a guess and saying Proctor.
Rock near a river?
We started off lukewarm, but we’re getting colder.
Whoopie wall on first street, 3/4 of a mile west of messabi?
Chester Park?
Barrett! You beat me to: Up your butt and two doors down.
My real guess is: On a rock, somewhere in St. Louis County, most likely in Duluth, in the state of Minnesota, USA, Earth, Milky Way galaxy, known Universe.
Did I win?!
8-18-09…
Too recent for me, unless it’s near a major thoroughfare.
The recentness of the graffiti indeed increases the level of difficulty. This is the longest a “Where in Duluth?” post has gone without being solved.
I can only guess, because I’m too lazy to go up there this week. Lincoln Park/Miller Creek?
Nope.
It might help to see a wider shot.
Up on the bike trails above the honkey house?
When you go on Skyline past Spirit Mountain, past the ski trail, but before you hit the straightaway through the woods that comes out in Gary/New Duluth, it is in the rocks area that overlooks the St Louis River where the kids hang out and drink.
a.k.a Bardons peak overlook
Tamara and Linkin Dark have it. This rock is at Bardon’s Peak, just a bit west of the main overlook.
It took 20 hours, but we finally have the right answer. I’m not sure if bragging rights can be awarded for this one.
I HATE VANDALISM AND CAPS….I WISH I COULD FIND PEOPLE THAT DO THIS CRAP AND CUFF THEM UPSIDE THE HEAD AND CALL THE POLICE….LINCOLN PARK HAS CRAPPY GRAFFITI AND SO DOES CHESTER. IT’S EVERYWHERE AT LESTER…GROSSES ME OUT.
It’s a shame the graffitist didn’t paint “AUTUMN” (in all caps). Hatred of the offense could have been pure. I think most juries show leniency toward vandals who spell correctly and capitalize appropriately.
Lincoln park has more of a trash problem. Lots of trash.
That said, I live right next to the park and love it. It is an overlooked green-space that compares well to the other parks in the city.
