Unpaid air traffic controller sending all planes to Duluth
An article on The Babylon Bee satirical news website reports that an air traffic controller who works out of Los Angeles International Airport “reportedly coped with his missing paycheck as a result of the government shutdown by deliberately sending planes to Duluth, Minnesota, for laughs.”
It’s at least the seventh time Duluth has been referenced on the site, but perhaps the most stinging, with quotes suggesting “no one comes to Duluth,” “we have a strict policy about avoiding Duluth because it’s so boring,” and “everyone hates Duluth.”
The article concludes by noting the air traffic controller was terminated from his post and transferred to Duluth.
“No! My punishment is too great to bear!” he was reportedly last heard shouting.
