Duluth 2023 Primary Election Sample Ballot

Duluth’s Municipal Primary Election is on Tuesday, Aug. 8. The first two races on this sample ballot — mayor and at-large city council — appear on ballots citywide. The fourth-district council race is pertinent to the Lincoln Park, Piedmont Heights and Duluth Heights neighborhoods. The third-district school board race is pertinent to Duluth Heights, Piedmont Heights, Central Hillside, Central Business District and Park Point.

Early voting for the primary election is available through Monday, Aug. 7. Early voting hours in the city clerk’s office at Duluth City Hall are as follows:

Friday, Aug. 4, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 5, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, August 8, all voting will take place on location at polling sites. To find out your precinct number, polling place and sample ballot info visit sos.state.mn.us.

Voters in the westernmost neighborhoods in the city (precincts 34 and 35) should have received a postcard from St. Louis County outlining changes to their precinct and polling place since the region was redistricted.
