Homegrown Music Festival Field Guide 2023 has arrived

The 2023 Homegrown Music Festival runs April 30 to May 7, and the annual Field Guide for the event was trucked into Duluth this morning. Piles of them will be available at local music venues within the coming days.

This year’s festival features 171 acts at 36 venues over the course of eight days.

Because it’s the festival’s 25th year, the guide includes a review of the festival’s history, which is also available in much more detail on Homegrown’s website.

And for more historic Homegrown visuals we direct you to the video below, a montage of old posters, Field Guide covers and other paraphernalia.

The video was shot in 2012 for the UMD Statesman story “The evolution of the Homegrown Chicken,” and includes materials that were on display that year in the Duluth Art Institute exhibition Homegrown: Visual Arts Edition.
