Sadkin – “Mirage”

Last fall Sadkin made a video for the single “Mirage.” It is finally out today.

Backstory and overtures: We tried doing it “in-house” in terms of concept, shooting, editing and post; as they say. Up to that point, I had prepared a number of very short promo-video clips for upcoming Sadkin shows/releases and actually thought working on those was fun.

So, we went for it. But, as the project grew and I quickly swam beyond my depths, key elements ended up requiring the help of others and so I absolutely want to take a moment to thank …

1. Andrew Hill – An old friend and professional film editor; grateful for his patience and willingness to sort out the required Codec for the final render. This was a back and forth debacle with the distributor which took months to sort. Also, for all of the late-night zooms as he talked me through mind numbing editing, aspect ratio’s and his encouragement.

2. Eric Sturtz – For his contribution of the amazing and gorgeous drone footage.

3. Kaylee Prisk – For the use of her fabulous plaster forms/sculptures and mannequins.

4. Sadkin’s cohorts at the Embassy, which proved to be the entire playground.

Thank you all,
Max | Sadkin
