Hero is a heavy title for such an ordinary accomplishment.

"Hero" might be a heavy title for winning a sporting event, but attaining an Olympic gold medal is not an "ordinary accomplishment."

Ordinary. Extraordinary. They are words that may define your wokeness.

There are certificates that honor me for saving lives but I consider that ordinary because that's the life I live.

The Olympics as a collective event to celebrate "a peaceful and better world" as stated by one online source should go away. It has been reported that the most presented award is a condom.

It has been my experience to be employed under the same roof as more than one Miracle hockey player. As a personal rule, I wouldn't want to have these people meet my mother.

Working under the same roof as those hockey players probably makes you a closer associate to them than any curlers, so ... we don't have to call the curlers heroes, but you probably don't have to shield your mother from them.
