1. Stop apologizing for the cold weather in Duluth. The climate is moderated by Lake Superior.  

2. There is no refuge from climate change. It's a global phenomenon and very destructive everywhere.

So you can't localize a global phenomenon and escape the devastation. The planet is an interdependent and interconnected biosphere.
