Duluth Electric Fetus merchandise up for auction

What’s left of the Duluth Electric Fetus? Sadly, only nostalgia. And just like when the store was open, it’s all for sale. Auction Masters of Osseo launched the Electric Fetus (Duluth, MN) online auction this week. Bidding ends at 6 p.m. on Oct. 11.

The sale includes 159 items, from the obvious records, cassettes and compact discs to the now-ironic fluorescent “open” signs. The store at 12 E. Superior St. closed during the pandemic and its owners announced in May it would cease operations. The company’s Minneapolis location remains open.

Want to remember forever what albums came out at the start of the pandemic? The Electric Fetus’ “new releases” whiteboard is up for sale.

What else is in the auction? Vintage padded chairs, assorted fixtures, moisturizing goat milk lotion and everything down to the “oily rag bin.”
