Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional Memorial Day ceremony at the Gary-New Duluth Veterans Memorial was not held. A ceremony was instead videotaped in advance of Memorial Day. Above is a short clip from WDSE-TV, below is the full memorial service video.
 

St. Louis County Attorney Mark Rubin is the master of ceremonies. The speakers are Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, Congressman Pete Stauber and Duluth Honor Guard Captain John Marshall. Father John Petrich provides the invocation and blessing. David Blazevic reads the names. Judd Johnston plays “Amazing Grace” on bagpipes. The U.S. Army Reserve Honor Guard does the flag ceremony. Joy Rasmussen sings. Merry Waters, representing the Daughters of American Revolution, places the wreath at the memorial.
