Thirsty Pagan Brewing moving to Soo Line Depot

The Superior Telegram reports Thirsty Pagan Brewing will move to the Soo Line Depot at 1615 Winter St. in January.

“The move marks a step into the brick-and-mortar phase — owning a building instead of leasing,” the story notes. “The depot also offers more private seating options for meetings, events and parties, although the total number of seats will remain roughly the same. … Groups already meet regularly at Thirsty Pagan, but the current configuration isn’t ideal for privacy. At about 7,500 square feet, the depot will provide more space to spread into.”

Is this what was, about ten years ago, an antique store? If so, it has been vacant for a long time. Glad it is filled.

David, you must be thinking of the former Antique Depot at 933 Oakes Ave., which closed in 2011.

The Soo Line Depot is four blocks away at 1615 Winter St.

I recall the Antiques Depot on Oakes. I think my matching coffee cups came from there. There was a brief time maybe early 2000s when someone was selling stuff out of the Soo Line Depot building. It was maybe more "flea market" goods than strictly an antique shop.
