As another month of summer comes to a close, we look back at the events that made headlines. Quiz on to test your knowledge of July happenings!

Fireworks were postponed in 2004 due to fog.

The second Toppers, slated to open Oct. 1, will be located at 1905 W. Superior St.

Question #3: Ely’s Wintergreen Northern Wear appeared as part of a “Made in America” showcase this month; where was the showcase held?

Wintergreen Northern Wear was founded in 1986.

Question #4: Alexandera Houchin of Cloquet won the women’s division of which 2,745-mile mountain bike race?

The Tour Divide begins in Banff, Alberta and ends in Antelope Wells, NM. Houchin completed the trek in 23 days, three hours.

Question #5: Arik Forsman was selected by the Duluth City Council to fill the vacancy left by which outgoing councilor?

Hansen resigned her council seat on July 17 in order to focus on her new position as CEO of the Northspan Group.

Question #6: Owner Joel Russell announced plans this month to sell this West Duluth “handyman’s candyland.”
