Anyone remember old Frisky, promoter of Duluth as the vital player in the new St. Lawrence Seaway?

These ads are from papers throughout the region at the time. And if you’re thinking of co-opting the Port-o-Rama title for your next event, it seems the term was copyrighted back then as Duluth looked to match its event with stalwarts like the Minneapolis Aquatennial and St. Paul’s Winter Carnival. What would you like to see Duluth celebrate every year as a whole community event. I know, right? Homegrown.
